Hello,
It’s time, I’ve decided to write my blog, to keep traces of my thought over the time.
In the real life, I’m a developer. At this time, I prefer to stay anonymous because I want to be sure readers understand that my company is not linked with my writing: it’s just some personal feelings.
The aim of this blog is to give my opinion on the software development and its evolution. My personal objective is to get feedback on my posts in order to improve my skills. Since I know that getting comments is hard, I hope I will reach this goal as soon as possible.
I know that people don’t like anonymous blog: it’s the reason why I have chosen a title for this blog. Coder-Friendly… What does it mean? In fact, we hear often the term “user-friendly” which means
“User Friendly or “user-friendly”, used as an adjective, generally implies good usability of a particular tool.”, Wikipedia
On my mind, a coder is a person who is able to write code. There are a lot of coders and I think it’s good. But, on the other side, there are developers : they write code, manage a software project, identify its complexity and they know how to manage its lifecycle. The developers always try to improve their skills: their thirst for knowledge is never enough. I have seen many clashes between coders and developers: coders think that developers are elitists and developers don’t understand why coders don’t want to become developers.

And, since mediators cannot measure productivity, they can’t distinguish easily the two categories of people and which approach is the right one for the project.
So, the concept of “coder-friendly” is: how to provide tools/frameworks/methodologies that are usable by a coder? It’s just a first idea of what I want to write on. Today, I don’t know whether this title is really adapted to what I want to discuss about. Time will give me the answer…
And you, what do you think about the term “coder-friendly”?
